very silly, very heavy death metal. includes customary groove driven bass sections and glen trying to piss cristians off. it ca get a little silly in places, and the guitar work can be a little loose at times, and the drums can often sound thin, but hell, this is standard death metal.enjoy!

Classic Florida death metal.Laiden with uttlerly blaspemous lyrics and crushing grooves. Not only are the lyrics beyond evil, Glen Benton makes sure you understand each and every word.Death fucking metal.

Definitely my favorite deicide album. Death metal the way it was meant to be. Thrashy and satanic!!!!

second best (Legion being #1) production is horrible but its still an important album. not as technical as Legion and the lyrics are just stupid but if you listen to it for the music you'll enjoy

This record might have been a big deal when it was first released in 1990, but I personally think this is one of Deicide's worst albums. I don't like the overall sound of the instruments, Glen couldn't growl for shit back then and the songs don't have much stregnth in them. Sorry.
Not that I don't understand and appreciate this album's significance and worth in the realm of death metal, I just find it a weak effort compared to crushers like "Legion" and "Once Upon the Cross".
