i shall be the first to review this cd. i just got it in the mail about an hour and a half ago, put it in my cd player, pressed "repeat disk" and it's on it's third spin. that should tell you something right there. on Nasum's site, before the album was released Mieszko commented that they experiment with new elements in the music but still kept that Nasum signature sound, and he couldn't have been more honest. unlike someone like Lars Ulrich who will say "the new metallica is like nothing metallica has ever written before. like if you listened to this record, you would never guess it was metallica, but it's still metallica!!!!" when you hear this cd, you know it's fucking Nasum. they now have 2 guitarists, which at times makes for some cool harmonies and allows for a solo here and there. with songs like "Deepest Hole" and "Fury" Nasum adds a melodic touch to the music while still keeping it as brutal as every other song. There's no major improvements in the vocals, and there is next to no use of low vocals on this disc at all. now normally that would bother me because variety in the vocals keeps the music interesting, but the music on this cd keeps it interesting enough. don't get me wrong. Miezko is a great singer and does a fantastic job, but he doesn't really do anything new on this record. the production is probably their best yet. think Human 2.0, only more low end. overall, i give this record a 9.5 out of 10. is it their best album to date? hard to tell as i love all of their albums, i will have to listen to them all again and evaluate them at another time
